Anti-Virus/Spyware

If you spend ANY time at all on the Internet, it's absolutely necessary to have some kind of anti-virus and anti-spyware software on your computer. Properly updated, these program will help keep unwanted programs off of your computer. These unwanted programs can cause your computer to run more slowly, delete wanted files from your computer, potentially infect other computers both in the Mound.net domain and the Internet as a whole and possibly crash your machine completely.

There are several very good programs available. One such program is available from Mound.net, called ZoneAlarm. It provides a comprehensive list of services including virus and spyware protection and firewall capability. It's available through download by logging into your account at http://myaccount.mound.net and clicking on the Security Suite link on the left. Follow the instructions from there.
